You Need a Computer Education

You might as well face it, you are going to have to learn about computers and how to use them whether you like it or not. You have put it off for as long as you can. You first fought the urge to get involved with computers when your children were young, now your grandchildren are here. What do you plan do?

Embrace computers by obtaining a computer education. Come on, computers will not biteyou. Once you learn about them and how computers can make your life easier and your job more rewarding, you will wonder why you avoided them for as long as you did. I even know someone whose 90-year-old mother has embraced computers and computing.

First things first, start your computer education by learning how the computer functions. You probably know how to turn the computer on, navigate using the mouse and print documents. More than 80% of the worlds’ computers use Windows operating system and probably have Microsoft Office. Thus, you should start your computer education learning about Windows, Word, Excel, and so on. It is time to take the next step.

You do not have to go back to school if that is what you are concerned about. Well… you do have to go to school, but now you do not even have to leave your house. You guessed it, you can go to school online. It is also known as distance learning. Life is good.

Unless you plan to become an IT specialist, computer programmer or animator, I suggest that you keep your computer education basic. Most companies want employees who are comfortable and competent with Windows and Microsoft Office, so I suggest this become the focus of your computer education. These are not the skills you should initially learn. Save them for later when you are no longer a newbie. Focus on the basics and your skills will make you indispensable.

You can only hold off the inevitable for so long. If you want to be successful now, you need to act now. You have two choices.
